Felix aka "Bag Of Tricks Cat" was born and raised in Glendale Arizona. His grandma, Ann Bennet, was the singer of the 1959 Felix the Cat theme song. Music has been a big part of Felix's life since he was born in 1993. Bag Of Tricks Cat makes Alternative Hip-Hop. He has been doing shows around the valley since the age of 16 and has opened up for: Yo Gotti, Talib Kweli, Ghostface Killah, Sheek Louch and Elzhi of Slum Village. Bag Of Tricks Cat's first LP with TMK (The Mic Killa), "Southwest Livin: Live From The Oven," has had heavy rotation in the Arizona streets despite the lack of support from local radio stations and DJs. His solo project "Half & Half: Too Broke For Whole Milk," was recently released and is already receiving positive feedback from his old and new fans. He has worked with many respected Arizona based artists such as: Bookie, Mega Ran (Random Beats), Mav of Sol Camp, Hannibal Leq, The Main Ingredient and El-Jay Beats of the Lo Classics. His group "The Bakers" will also be releasing a project sometime in the near future. Be on the lookout for what tricks Felix has in his bag.
"Litter Box" is Bag Of Tricks Cat's new single featuring Hannibal Leq AKA Mr. MTV. The record was produced by D Chambers, and is free to download via Soundcloud.
Rest in peace to my grandma, Ann Bennett. She passed on today (November 7th, 2013) at the age of 86. She was my inspiration to begin making music, and I will miss her very very much. I'm sharing her music with you all so her, and her accomplishments, will continue to be remembered. She was most known for singing the 1959 "Felix the Cat" theme song, but she also was a singer during the big band era. I feel extremely fortunate to have known her and to also be able to say she is my family. I couldn't be more proud of her. ♥
Ever been just friends with a girl? When no matter how much you try, it's still a simple friendship in the end? We've all been there and some of us are still there. Luckily, Felix (The Bag Of Tricks Cat), TMK, and Mega Ran are here to guide you through situations like these. Spreading a positive message that friendship may not always be what you want, but sometimes it ends up being more in the end.
